London 28 August : More than 25,000 immigrants have crossed the English Channel to the UK in the first half of this year, figures from the government reveal.Around 915 were found in the early hours of Saturday in 19 small vessels The Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated, bringing the pro forma total to 25,146 for the year, the dpa news agency reported.
