Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), December 27 : .Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Mandi on Monday, the ‘Chhoti Kashi,’ to lay the foundation stones for hydropower projects in excess of Rs 11,000 crore.The second ceremony, which will be inaugurated by the Himachal Pradesh Global Investors’ Meet, will see him preside.This event is anticipated to boost investment in the area through the launch of projects estimated to reach Rs 28,000 crore.
These events were the culmination of four years of the BJP government headed by Jai Ram Thakur within the state.
Officially, the Prime Minister stated that he has always focused on fully utilising all the potential resources in the country.
One of his steps was to optimally exploit the hydropower potential within the Himalayan area.
It stated that the prime minister will lay the foundation stone for the projects, which will then be inaugurated.
The foundation stone for Renukaji Dam will be laid by the Prime Minister.The project, which had been pending for over three decades, was finally made possible by the Centre’s vision of cooperative federalism.
Six states, Haryana Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan were brought together to make the project possible.
It will cost around Rs 71,000 crore to build the 40MW project.
This will bring Delhi an estimated 500 million cubic metres of water per year.
The foundation stone for the Luhri Stage 1 Hydro Power Project will be laid by the Prime Minister.Construction of the 210-MW project is expected to cost more than Rs 1.800 crore.The project will generate more than 750 millions units per year.
It will also be a benefit to the surrounding areas of the area because it provides reliable grid support.
Modi will also lay foundation stones for Dhaulasidh Hydro Power Project.It will be Hamirpur’s first hydropower plant.
This 66-MW project is expected to cost more than Rs 680 crore.
This will allow for the generation of more than 300,000,000 units per year.
Inauguration of the Sawra-Kuddu Hydro Power Project will be made by the Prime Minister.Construction of the 111-MW project cost Rs 2,080 crore.
The project will generate more than 380,000,000 units per year and provide revenue for the state of Rs 120 crore each year.
