The Telangana state police department has made great strides for the protection of women and children in Telangana.A cyber lab is being set up in Telangana, especially for crime control and crime investigation on women and children.
This is going to be the first cyber lab set up for the protection of women and children.
Reports say that this cyber lab is likely to be made available in a month.
The cyber lab was set up on the third floor of the State Women’s Security Division office in Lakdikapul, Hyderabad.
The Telangana Women’s Safety Division has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Center for Research on Cyber Intelligence and Digital Forensics (CRCIDF) to set up a cyber lab in the state.
CRCIDF is working with the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) to investigate crime digitally in the country.CRCIDF will assist with cutting-edge tools and other technical issues related to cybercrime investigation.
Through this cyber lab, She teams, anti-human trafficking units and cybercrime investigation teams will be taught the technology and techniques to be adopted to control crime against women and children, said DIG of Women’s Safety, Sumathi.
