Tamil star Suriya’s new film, ‘Soorarai Pottru’ which is also being released in Telugu as ‘Aakasham Nee Haddu Raa’, is all set to stream on Amazon Prime skipping the theatrical release.The film will stream on October 30th, 2020.
The film is produced Suriya himself under his 2D Entertainment banner.
Recently Suriya has announced Rs.5 crore to the cinema industry bodies and cine workers which he will be donating this money from the profits he received from the direct digital release of this film.And as promised, Suriya has donated a total sum of Rs.1.5 crores out of the Rs.5 crore announced amount to the associations belonging to Tamil actors, producers, and directors.
Going into the details, Rs.1 crore given to FEFSI while a cheque for Rs.30 lakh was given to Producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu for Tamil Nadu Film Producer’s Council and another cheque of Rs.20 lakh was handed over to Actor Nasser for Nadigar Sangam.The kind gesture of this star actor is now winning a lot of appreciation from the industry circles.
Directed by Sudha Kongara of ‘Guru’ fame, the film is inspired by the real-life vents of Air Deccan founder Captain GR Gopinath.Aparna Balamurali is the female lead of the film while it also has Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, and others in key roles.Stay tuned for more updates!
