Colombo : , December 28th, 2018 – Zimbabwe will travel to Sri Lanka for a three-match series of ODIs in January 2022.Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), announced Tuesday. On January 10, the Zimbabwe team will travel to the country.The matches will take place at Kandy’s Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, which is protected by a bio-secure bubble.
This series will be Mahela Jayawardene’s first as a consultant coach for the Sri Lankan team.
Jayawardene stated in a statement shortly after his appointment that “this is an exciting chance to work with national cricketers, coaches in our different development squads including the U19, A, and M teams to help us do justice the immense cricketing talent in Sri Lanka.”
He said, “I’m passionate about Sri Lankan Cricket and believe with a coordinated, focused team effort and taking a holistic approach, working across all age group, we can achieve consistent successes in the future.”
