The number of cases with the new variants of Coronavirus is increasing day by day in India.Recently, another Omicron case was reported in Andhra Pradesh.
A 39-year-old woman from Tirupati, who arrived from Kenya, registered positive for Omicron.The woman, who arrived from Kenya, tested Omicron positive, officials said.
The woman was from Kenya and had come to Tirupati from Chennai airport, officials said.However, on December 12, the woman was diagnosed with Covid-19 positive.
The authorities sent the samples to genome sequencing.In genome sequencing, it is confirmed that the woman has traces of the Omicron variant.
With this, the authorities rushed the woman to a hospital for treatment.
A new variant of Covid, Omicron, is booming in the country.
So far, 214 Omicron cases have been reported in India.Cases of this variant have been reported in 15 states of India.
The number of Covid positive cases in India increased drastically on December 21.No one has died so far due to the new variant in India.
However, currently, Delhi has the highest number of 57 cases in the country.Maharashtra has 54, Telangana 24, Karnataka 19, Rajasthan 18, Gujarat 14 and AP 2 cases.
So far, 90 victims have recovered from the new variant, Omicron.
