Now the question is how Nitish Kumar is thinking of being the main contender to Narendra Modi in the next general elections.

According to experts, Nitish Kumar is one of the sharpest minds of the political elite in the country. He is conscious of his strengths and weaknesses, and that is why he is not promoting himself as the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition parties.

“The party’s Bihar unit is pushing Nitish Kumar’s name in the race to be an opposition PM nominee with the intention of creating a divide between opposition leaders.Nitish Kumar is supported by his political commanders, like JD-U National President Lalan Singh, state ministers Ashok Chaudhary and Vijay Chaudhary, among others who have always said that he has the potential to become the next prime minister however he isn’t in the race.” stated Rajnish Singh who is a Bihar-based expert on politics.

In an interview with media personalities in Delhi, Nitish Kumar has said that he was not aware he is in the race to become the next Prime Minister.

“Our plan is to unite the opposition against BJP.Opposition parties have the power to take on the BJP and take it down.It is my intention to not be in the running to become the prime ministerial nominee of opposition parties in the days leading up to 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” he has said.

The opposition parties are aware of how they are able to recognize how BJP is trying to stifle them, and that could be the reason they have shown an openness to Nitish Kumar’s plan to unite forces that oppose the saffron-colored camp.

This could have something to do with have to do with BJP National President J.P.Nadda claiming in Patna recently that he is working towards the goal of an unopposed government.

The BJP in the past had succeeded in removing the governments in the states of Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra to become the new government.

However, in Bihar it was Nitish Kumar who broke off relations with the BJP and formed an alliance with the RJD, Congress and Left parties to create the Mahagathbandhan government to the astonishment of the saffron-loving camp.

After cutting the ties with the BJP JD-U’s Lalan Singh had said that the BJP has 16 Lok Sabha MPs in Bihar 17 MPs in West Bengal and 11 MPs in Jharkhand.

If Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav are able to bring the BJP to a bare minimum in Bihar and the same is accomplished through Mamata Benerjee in West Bengal and Hemant Soren in Jharkhand If they succeed, the BJP will automatically fall to below the threshold of majority of 272 in the Lok Sabha, which is possible, Lalan Singh had said.

He had also suggested the leaders of the opposition should follow the electoral strategy of the BJP to defeat the BJP.

The concept is to use poll benefits in critical situations. The BJP has the benefit of dual engine governments in states in which it is in the power.

Opposition leaders such as Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee, Hemant Soren, K.Chandrashekher Rao, Ashok Gahlot, Raman Singh, Naveen Patnaik and M.K.Stalin ought to consider the possibility of cashing in by leveraging the anti-incumbency factor in opposition to the eight years of BJP rule at the Centre.

If they are able to hold free and fair elections in their respective states and provinces, the BJP could face an uphill battle.

Following Nitish Kumar’s three-day trip to Delhi The BJP top brass reportedly sent an instruction to the Bihar unit to slam Nitish Kumar, sources claimed.

Therefore, statements were made by Sushil Kumar Modi, Giriraj Singh, Sanjay Jaiswal, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Tarkishore Prasad, and many others, in opposition to Nitish Kumar.

Sushil Modi saidthat “Nitish Kumar was humiliated by George Fernandes, Sharad Yadav and R.C.P.Singh in the past.He did exactly the same with Lalan Singh and Upendra Kushwaha. But, Lalan Singh and Kushwaha apologized to Nitish Kumar and were kept in JD-U and the other were exiled.”

In response to Sushil Modi’s comments, Lalan Singh said: “No one is more humiliated than you do.In spite of all the efforts you have made and your statements about Nitish Kumar and JD-U your party hasn’t offered a job to you.Our best wish is with you.”
