Gurugram, Dec 15 : The Gurugram Police have arrested two dreaded criminals on Monday and claimed to have solved around a dozen cases of murder, attempt to murder, fighting, loot, snatching of vehicles on gunpoint and Arms Act which the culprits had allegedly committed across the state.
Two cars, four live cartridges, and a pistol have been recovered from their possession, the police said during a press meet on Tuesday.
The arrested accused have been identified as Himanshu alias Rubel of Sonipat and Aman alias Sukha of Jind district.
In connection with the arrest, a complaint of car being snatched on gun point was filed by the complainant Mustafa, resident of Uttar Pradesh, at Kherki Daula police station on December 14.
“Acting on a tip-off, a team of Manesar Crime Unit of the Gurugram Police arrested the accused on December 14 from Sector-90 here after a few hours of the incident,” said ACP (Crime) Preet Pal Sangwan ACP (crime).
“The accused booked the car of the complainant on December 14.When the victim reached southern peripheral road (SPR), both of them barged inside the car and took him on gunpoint.They also looted Rs 6,500 from him and ran away from the spot,” the police said.
During interrogation, the accused confessed their involvement in the crime which they committed across the state.The culprits have served jail term in the past also, the police said.
“Both the accused are habitual offender.They will be taken on remand for futher questioning,” said Sangwan
