Former Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy resigned from BJP on Monday and he announced the decision in a press meet.It is learnt that former MLA has said to have developed some differences with state BJP President Kishan Reddy and due to this, he is keeping away from the party activities.
Srinivas Reddy was elected as MLA on BJP ticket in a by-election following the death of Rajeshwar Reddy in 2012, but lost to the TRS candidate V.Srinivas Goud in 2014.
Yennem along with other senior BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy have launched an independent forum “Bachoa Telangana” (Save Telangana).Though the BJP initially chose to ignore the new outfit floated by Nagam, it now feels miffed with the manner in which Nagam has been taking independent decisions.
Kishan Reddy has been opposing this forum and asked both the leaders to abstain from such activities.Angered at this, Yennem decided to quit BJP.Reports have that Nagam too will follow suit and quit BJP very soon.
