Telangana govt to set up CoE for flow chemistry in Hyderabad

Flow Chemistry Innovation and Technology Hub will be set up in Hyderabad for multi-industrial purposes.Telangana State Industries Minister K Tarakarama Rao is hopeful that the hub, which will not only function as a centre of excellence, will take the pharmaceutical sector to new heights in India.

He said it would help to become a model for greenery and sustainable processes, from research and development to manufacturing, through modern approaches.

Speaking on this occasion, Minister KTR said the hub would help in drug research and development, as well as the use of flow chemistry techniques in the production of pharmaceutical ingredients (Active Pharma Ingredients-API).

The hub will be set up at Dr Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS), with funding from Reddy’s Laboratories and Larus Labs.World-renowned scientists, International Adviser Professor Govardhan Mehta (University of Hyderabad), University of Cambridge Professor Steven Lay, Graz University of Austria Professor Oliver Kappe, Tokyo University Professor Marka Shasta will officiate the hub.

The Telangana government will provide strategic assistance.Expressing happiness over the setting up of this hub, Minister KTR congratulated Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Larus Labs.
