San Francisco, Aug 9 : Tech giant Apple has reinstated the icon of battery percentage that displays the actual number of battery in the status bar in the most recent iOS 16 beta.According to TechCrunch the battery indicator was restored in iOS 16 beta 5 however, it needs to be enabled for users who is running the beta through the Settings menu.
The option to switch on the battery percentage can be found in the “battery” corner of the Settings menu, just above the Low Power Mode toggle.
The update is currently only available to beta users as of now.
The indicator for the battery percentage was introduced in the iPhone 3GS era before disappearing with the introduction of the notch feature on the iPhone X circa iOS 11 back in 2017.
Apple doesn’t always include each beta feature in the final version -especially when early feedback is a hindrance on something .However, the chances are good that the icon showing the battery percentage will be back in the latter part of September with the official version of iOS 16.report said.
In addition, a report from last week stated that iOS 16 will let users edit iMessages for five times.Once they’ve reached the limit the option to edit will be removed from the menu for long-press.
