The stage is all set for former BRS leader Mynampally Hanumantha Rao to join the Congress before September 27.On Monday, Hanumantha Rao announced his decision to join the grand old party, saying that he would reach New Delhi and “complete the formality in the presence of central leaders.

According to reports Congress leaders including former Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha and former Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Goud on Monday had a meeting with the rebel BRS leader at the latter’s residence and formally invited him into the party fold.
Addressing reporters at his residence after meeting a top Congress delegation, Mynampally said he would join the party before Wednesday.
According to sources, Mynampally would join Congress along with his son Rohith in the presence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi.The former BRS leader had been vocal about contesting from Malkajgiri seat and giving Medak seat for this son.
It is reported that the Congress is mulling to accede to that demand.Along with Mynampally, four other BRS corporators are also going to join the Congress.

He released a video to announce his decision to leave the party.Mynampally was a TDP leader and who got elected as MLA from Ramayampet in 2008 and Medak in 2009.
He had joined the BRS before the 2018 elections and was elected as MLA from Malkajgiri.
