K\'taka Bjp Leader Holds It Cos Responsible For Floods, Says They Won\'t Operate One Day In Naxal-prone T\'gana

K’taka BJP leader holds IT cos to be accountable for flooding and says they will not operate one day in T’gana, which is prone to Naxal.

Bengaluru, Sep 8 : Karnataka BJP leader N.R.Ramesh on Thursday accused IT companies of being responsible for the floods and the crisis situation that have erupted following torrential rains in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru has received 899 millimeters of rainfall in the last three months. This is the highest amount of rain in the past 50 years.”The corporations are threatening the government of the state that they will need to move into Telangana state. The state of Telangana is known as a Naxal-prone.Employees and businesses will not be able endure for more than a day,” Ramesh stated.

Responding to the threat made by IT companies via organizations that they are moving into Telangana, Ramesh maintained that they will not be able run in the state of Telangana which is prone to Naxal.

Ramesh, BJP President of Bengaluru South, responded to the former Infosys director and businessman T.V.Mohandas Pai’s “Save Bengaluru” campaign in an open letter. He condemned Mohan Das Pai’s effort to degrade the image of Bengaluru in the current crisis time by writing an open letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and launching an appeal on the flood situation.

“You (Mohan Das Pai) have been executing the campaign ‘Save Bengaluru’ over the past 10 to 15 days.

You wrote letters to Prime Minister Modi and other officials.Social media campaigns are also being conducted.

You have mentioned that IT and BT companies are looking moving to Telangana state because of flooding. In 1999, specifically in Mahadevapura, Bommanahalli zones thousands of corporate companies began operating. The reason for this is that Bengaluru was constructed above 3000 feet above sea level by the the then ruler Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda.” he said.

“The other factors are the warm, friendly nature of the inhabitants of Bengaluru.Between 1999 and 2004, to the benefit of IT as well as BT companies the government didn’t collect taxes on the installation of OFC pipes in the 4,500 kilometres of roads.” he said.

The state did not have to pay for road construction and invested the sum of Rs 3,000 crore to offer free services at the time.

Mohan Das Pai appears to have lost sight of the fact that this was not true, Ramesh explained.

“We would like to bring your attention that IT and BT companies are also accountable for the flooding situation in Bengaluru.

In writing a letter to PM Modi IT companies, through their organizations have been able to conduct in the manner that it has been proven to be a black impression in the reputation of the globally recognized city and is the only city that has been constructed scientifically,” he said.

“79 tech parks that fall under the Outer Ring Road Companies Association and more than 250 IT and BT companies are part of the Electronic City Industries Association, more than 100 tech companies in Mahadevapura have encroached upon storm drainage channels at the time of construction.

Infosys, Wipro, Biocon, Tech Mahindra, Tata Power, Bosch, IBM, TCS, HP and all other companies in the Electronics City have encroached upon storm drains completely or reduced them to a smaller size,” he stated.

“Knowing all these facts there are efforts made to undermine the image of the city.

To avoid tax payment to BBMP under self-declaration of property tax system townships have been established in the name of township. The companies have to pay between Rs 300 and 400 crore in property tax. After receiving all the benefits from government agencies like BBMP, BWSSB, IT companies have not paid tax payments of Rs 400 crore,” he opined.

At present, 3,758 IT companies as well as the 92 BT companies and tech parks, and 79 tech parks are in operation in Bengaluru.

More than 2 lakh crore of transactions are being conducted each year.According to CSR regulations, companies must spend more than 2500 crores on CSR activities.

IT firms have spent just 10 crores, he alleged.

Do not be threatening the government, and in the event that IT and BT companies do not remove their land and there is an effective solution to the flood issue in Bengaluru.

Instead of using blackmail, act prudently and responsibly, Ramesh urged.
