But now, for the first time, Karan openly talked about his sexual orientation and how he was bullied in his childhood over his effeminacy and how he spent sleepless nights.Everything was in his biography “An unsuitable Boy”.
“I was effeminate as a child and I used to have sleepless nights over the fact that I am different from other children.I was called ‘Pansy’ even though I hated it.And I am also proud of my films like Kal Ho Na Ho and Dostana, in which I discussed the issue in the mainstream cinema.Now there are so many films on LGBT and I am proud that I started it,” said Karan Johar.
