Iran is ready to supply Lebanon with fuel supplies Ambassador

Beirut 11 September : The ambassador of Iran to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani has reiterated Iran’s willingness to supply Lebanon with fuel and to build new power stations and to repair existing power grids as reported by the National News Agency reported.
He made remarks on the subject on the weekend during an interview with Lebanese Energy Minister Walid Fayad in Beirut The meeting occurred a day following Fayad stated that a Lebanese technical delegation will soon travel to Iran to talk about Iran’s offer of free fuel.

“We hope that this donation will be the beginning of collaboration in other areas as well,” Amani was quoted as saying, adding that all the Lebanese will profit from the Iranian fuel donation.

To his credit For his part, the Lebanese Energy Minister has said that the gift is of crucial importance, since it could help to put the Lebanese energy sector on the path of recovery, Xinhua news agency reported.

“It will serve as the basis for implementation of the electricity plan that was developed by the Ministry .it will provide the citizens with power at a lower price than the private generators.” Fayad added.

Lebanon has been struggling with power outages for a long time and has left the majority of the country with only a couple of hours of state-provided power per day.This has forced households to pay for subscriptions to generators owned by private companies, the prices of which have soared recently since global fuel prices increased.
