This is the only state that hasn’t used a single rupee from the Jaljeevan scheme that is commissioned by the central government” the union minister said.

The minister stated that the scheme was started in 2021 and the intention is deliver a water tap and a water connection to each and every house in India.

“It pains me to speak about Andhra Pradesh in this context.

They haven’t used a single rupee from the Jaljeevan scheme despite our repeated reminders.This is the only state which has seen 0% progress and we have no logical answers for why this is happening,” the union minister said.

Neighbouring state, Telangana has a 100% water connection supply to every house in the state while Andhra Pradesh ranks lowest with only 70.05% houses having a working water connection.
