Islamabad Sep 10, : United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appealed to the international community to show “massive” assistance for Pakistan to address the ongoing climate crisis that is destroying the lives of millions of people.

According to the most recent figures of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan, over 33 million people have been affected 1,355 died and 12,722 were wounded in the monsoon season’s rainfall and floods from mid-June.

In addition, over 1.7 million homes have been destroyed and an estimated 753,187 livestock have perished according to the NDMA and added that 81 districts of Pakistan were affected by floods , and 634,749 people live in camps.
