The two were guided from inside the International Space Station by two other astronauts, Thomas Marshburn and Matthias Maurer.
The launch was carried out by the US space agency (NASA) to meet the growing power needs of the space station.The ISS currently has a capacity of 160 kW, which will increase to 215 kW after the installation of the new panels.

Rajachari, who was appointed commander of the International Space Station Crew-3 mission in 2020, flew to ISS in November last year aboard the Falcon 9 rocket.

Rajachari served on the US Air Force during the Iraq War as well as on the Korean Peninsula.He holds a master's degree in aeronautics and aeronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He later completed his training at the U.S.Naval Test Pilot School on the Patuxtent River in Maryland, and at the U.S.Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
