New Delhi, Sep 13 : Senior Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and Jairam Ramesh will travel to the states where the party’s’Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is not going to encourage state units to take part in the Yatra.General Secretary of the party Jairam Ramesh said, “Me and Digvijaya Singh will be visiting Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha starting on September 16th.Our goal is to mobilize states units in order to take part in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
The Congress is calling on all state units to take part in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.It is suggested to start the exercise at the block level.
Ramesh earlier stated that the yatra could increase the strength of the party and propagate its ideology, adding that “the elephant has awakened and has shocked BJP”.
