Los Angeles, Sep 11 : Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has brought serious star power to the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, when she appeared at the world premier of her upcoming film “Causeway”.
However, despite the huge Hollywood name”Causeway” was a more subtle character study, as reported by Variety.

Lawrence is the lead in and directs the film in which she portrays a soldier returning to civilian life in New Orleans.

The film also features Brian Tyree Henry, Linda Emond, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Russell Harvard.”Causeway” is the directorial debut feature of theater veteran Lila Neugebauer, with a script written by Elizabeth Sanders, Luke Goebel and Ottessa Moshfegh.

The character in the film, Lynsey, is desperate to get her job back.

When asked about what led her to make this choice, Lawrence said she found an unifying factor.

“I got a feeling in my stomach as I read it,” she said.

“That type of immediate, ‘We need to do this’.I am familiar with the sensation of trying to locate your home.

It is also a search for the place where you feel fulfilled.I left home at the age of 14 years old.My connection with my home was always difficult.”
