IANSlife New Delhi, December 13, 2013 (IANSlife).The Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Routes2Roots – NGO, and Dr.Vinay Shasrabuddhe were present to sign an agreement.Teena Vachani was the Founder and General Secretary of Routes2Roots and Dinesh K.Patnaik, Director-General ICCR.
Indian Diaspora friends and alumni have shared their Indian experiences through many media channels.
The ICCR considers them India’s ambassadors of goodwill overseas.It is important to capture and share such moments, according to the ICCR.To further strengthen these connections, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations is working in collaboration with Routes2Roots (a globally recognized NGO that supports Indian culture and art), to organize an “International Film Making Competition”.
Routes2Roots has hosted many events, including music performances, dance recitals and theatre and film festivals.They also host art exhibitions and cultural exchange programs.The platform was founded seventeen years ago and has been home to many legends in various artistic forms as well as rising stars.
Indian missions and embassies will promote the tournament in each country.Competitors from around the globe will be encouraged to submit short films about the following subjects in the Indian Diaspora or Foreign Alumni categories:

A distinguished Jury will judge the competition entries, and three awards will be granted in each area and topic, with three age groups (total 54 awards).
