Spending Rs 53,000 for education in 3 years: Andhra CM

Vijayawada 5 Sep : The administration of Andhra Pradesh has been placing a high priority on education and has introduced several reforms in the sector and invested more than 53,000 crore in the last three years.according to the Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He stated that the state government spent more than 53,000 crore in various programs aimed to put the state in front in regards of the quality of education, increasing the literacy rate, reducing dropout rates and achieving 70% Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in higher education.

In his speech at the Teachers’ Day celebration on Monday the chief minister reiterated the reforms his government has implemented in the education sector in order to provide high-quality education to students.

He added that teachers have a significant part to play in creating the future of students in the current competitive environment that is ever-changing in the way it operates.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his government has given the highest priority to education and the various reforms that have been brought in are designed to fully prepare students for the world of competition that they will be entering.

He said that teachers are the molders who shape the future of students.

Sending greetings to teachers and paying tribute to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan he declared that the reforms introduced in by his government aim to make a better world of youngsters and not designed to irritate teachers.

“Our pledge is to promote the public sector, in contrast to the previous administration that ignored the public schools to favor corporations,” he said.

He claimed that the government has spent the massive sum on various programs like revamping the schools in Nadu Nedu, Jagananna Goru Muddha, English medium, Vidya Kanuka, CBSE, teachers of subject, Byju’s Pack tabs for eight class students digital classrooms, enhancing teachers’ abilities, Vidya Deevena, Vasati Deevena and many more.

He declared that the goal of the government is to provide a high-quality education to the most marginalized sections of society.The reforms are designed to transform the lives of those in need of an improved future.”Our changes are targeted at restoring the glory of earlier schools and making them more attractive than the corporate schools that will draw the attention of more pupils,” he said.

The government also raised the age of retirement of teachers from 62 to 63 and granted the teachers promotions.

The pension issue that was not resolved for a long time was also being investigated to find a real solution, according to our government he said.

The chief minister quoted Alexander stated that he will be thankful to his father for bringing birth to him and would be thankful to his school teacher for helping make his birth a memorable one.

The chief minister claimed that the opposition that did not bother to address these issues is now speaking out against the government and inciting teachers.

The opposition has undermined the public sector in all areas in medical, education, and transport sectors and resulted in the situation that even government employees are forced to leave.

However, we have reversed the trend and are moving towards the future with changes, he said.

Then, he presented awards to the most outstanding Teachers.

Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana talked about the steps being implemented by the government to ensure quality education , as well as the efforts of chief minister to give priority to the education sector.
