Tehran 19th August : Iranian Foreign Minister has stated that the Vienna nuclear talks could move to the next phase in the event that Iran’s economic interests are safeguarded as well as its red lines are respected in the eventual US reaction to the US views regarding the EU’s proposal.Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in an interview with his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi in the course of which they talked about bilateral regional, international and regional issues according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website on Thursday.

In addition the Omani Foreign Minister expressed optimism that a favorable outcome would be reached in the Vienna talks, with collaboration from all sides, Xinhua news agency reported.
The following day, Iran announced that it had submitted its written reply to the draft of an agreement that could be signed and said that should the US reaction is realistic and flexible, the nuclear deal can be reached.

Iran has signed the nuclear agreement with the world’s powers in July 2015, committing to limit its nuclear program in exchange for the elimination of sanctions against the country.
However the then US president Donald Trump pulled Washington out of the agreement and imposed sanctions that were unilateral on Tehran and prompted Tehran to renounce some of its obligations under the agreement.
The talks regarding the revival of the nuclear agreement of 2015 were initiated in April 2021 in Vienna but were halted in March 2022 due to of disagreements over politics between Tehran and Washington.
