Addressing the press after meeting them, he said, “The irony of the state government jailing farmers under non-bailable cases and then calling itself a pro-farmer government is not lost on anyone. The change in alignment of the road has put farmers in trouble. The cases should be withdrawn forthwith.”

During his visit, Hanumantha Rao pointed out the similarity between the current situation and a past incident in Khammam, where farmers were also imprisoned. He further asserted that CM KCR stands alone as the individual responsible for the plight of farmers in the country.Hanumantha Rao criticised the government’s claims of being a “Kisan Sarkar” (farmer-centric government), highlighting the alleged filing of fake cases resulting in farmers’ imprisonment.

He demanded an explanation for the filing of non-bailable cases against farmers who were peacefully protesting without any weapons.

The people will teach the K.Chandrashekar Rao government.Farmers, unemployed youth, students, BC, SC, ST and minorities will together teach BRS a befitting lesson, he warned.

He was accompanied by Nalgonda DCC president Shankar Nayak, senior leaders Ramalingam Yadav, Shambula Srikanth Goud and other local leaders.

Earlier on Thursday, June 1, a brief ruckus was witnessed outside the jail in Bhuvanagiri, when Congress former MP V.Hanumantha Rao went to meet farmers impacted by the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
