Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh recently laid the foundation stone for the ‘Sainyadham’.He described it as a major step towards honouring the spirit of sacrifice that inspired people to sacrifice for the country.
Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone in Gunialgaon on the occasion of the conclusion of the state-wide ‘Shaheed Samman Yatra’ organized by the Government of Uttarakhand.As a part of this, they brought soil from the residences of 1734 martyred people.
This soil will be used for the construction of ‘Sainyadham’.It was referred by Prime Minister Modi as the Fifth Dham following the Char Dham of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri.
Speaking on this occasion, Rajnath Singh described Uttarakhand as ‘the land of adventurers’.General Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) of our country, was one of the adventurers who emerged from this state,, and he was dedicated to his duties till the end.
General Rawat, his wife and other prominent personnel were killed in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu on December 8.Rajnath Singh lauded the Government of Uttarakhand for undertaking the ‘Shaheed Samman Yatra’ without any delay.
