The Telangana government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs.2 lakh to the families of journalists who died due to Corona.The government took this decision at the request of the Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) and other journalist associations.
Allam Narayana, chairman of the State Media Academy, suggested that the family members of the 15 journalists who had died of corona in the last ten days should apply for financial assistance by May 10.Financial aid of Rs.5 lakh was announced to the families of the journalists who died due to Corona.The families of the journalists who recently died with Corona are required to submit applications to the Telangana State Media Academy office for financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh by May 10.
The families of the deceased journalists should submit the corona death certificate, accreditation card, corona positive reports to the district medical health officer of the respective districts.
