Bengaluru 19 Aug, Bengaluru : Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah intensified his rhetoric on Friday when he was welcomed with black flags in Chikkamagalur district because of his remarks about the ongoing Veer Savarkar Flex row in Shivamoga district.
The Congress leader later declared that the protests against him were being backed by the government of the ruling BJP government.

In the meantime the the state Congress President D.K.Shivakumar issued a clear warning that should the BJP is not able to control its employees and tame them, it will be accountable for the consequences.

Shivakumar stated that if BJP was not able to subdue the workers of its party, Congress workers will stage protests during the programs which are attended by the entire list of BJP ministers which includes Chuef Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

In the meantime the Minister of the Union Pralhad Joshi has criticized the claim of Siddaramaiah asking about the installation of Veer Savarkar’s Flex in the ‘Muslim region’.

“As an element of the appeasement policy, Siddaramaiah is talking whatever is on his thoughts.

He must keep in the mind that Veer Savarkar is described as a unique father of India,” Joshi stated.

Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said, “He (Siddaramaiah) should think twice before making such remarks.”
