Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri are a beloved couple in Bollywood, known for their long-lasting relationship and inspiring presence.Recently, they attended the launch event of Gauri’s new book, ‘My Life of Design’, in Mumbai.
The media captured their pictures, with Shah Rukh holding the book and guiding Gauri through the cameras.
During a Q&A session, Shah Rukh was asked about Gauri’s achievement of building their grand home, Mannat, from scratch.
He shared that when they bought the house, it was beyond their financial means.Coming from Delhi, where bungalows were common, they were unaware of Mumbai’s expensive apartments.
Initially, they lived in a house near the Taj hotel, which was lent to them by a director.They decided to purchase Mannat, despite it being beyond their budget, and then had to renovate it as it was in a dilapidated state.
However, they faced a challenge when it came to furnishing the house due to financial constraints.Hiring a designer proved to be expensive, so Shah Rukh encouraged Gauri, who had artistic talent, to take charge of the interior design.
They gradually decorated the house over the years, even buying small items during their travels abroad with whatever money they could spare.
Shah Rukh also mentioned that Aryan Khan, his son, runs a clothing brand that had received complaints about high prices.
In response to a Twitter user’s complaint, Shah Rukh humorously stated that he would take action.
Regarding his upcoming projects, Shah Rukh was last seen in the movie ‘Pathaan,’ which was a hit in 2023.His next film, ‘Jawan,’ is a pan-Indian project directed by Atlee, featuring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover in key roles.The film is set to release on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Additionally, Shah Rukh has another film called ‘Dunki’ in the works, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Taapsee Pannu.
