New Delhi, Aug 31 : Meta (formerly Facebook) on Wednesday announced that it removed more than 25 million pieces of content across 13 policies for Facebook and more than 2 million pieces of content in 12 policies on Instagram in July.of July in conformity with the IT Rules 2021.Between July 3 and 1, Meta received 626 reports through the Indian grievance procedure for Facebook and took action on 100% of these reports.
“Of these reports we have provided tools to users to solve their problems in 603 cases” the company stated.

“We evaluate the amount of items of material (such as videos, posts, photos or comments) that we take action against because they do not conform to our guidelines.The actions we take could include taking the piece of material from Facebook or Instagram or covering videos or photos that could be disturbing to certain audiences with warnings,” said Meta.
