The Economic freedom of India drops drastically 26 spots in the report.

Canada’s Fraser Institute collaborating with non-profit think tank ‘Centre for Civil Society’, prepared ‘the Economic Freedom of the World:2020’ report recently.According to the report, India falls 26 spots from 79th position in previous rankings.Currently, India holds 105th rank on the Global Economic Freedom Index 2020.

The report states that the prospect of economic freedom growth depends on the future generation majorly in factor markets, including wider openness to international trade.On the other hand, Hong Kong and Singapore have continued at the top two spots in the report, which is based on 2018 based data.

Accordingly, New Zealand, Switzerland, US, Australia, Mauritius, Georgia, Canada and Ireland have grabbed their respective spots in the top 10 list.However, India has positioned ahead of China which is currently at 124th place.

Besides, the African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Republic of Congo, Algeria, Iran, Angola, Libya, Sudan and Venezuela have been at the lowest 10 in the report.The sole aim of the report is to calculate the economic freedom of a country.
