Hyderabad 22 August : Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said that conspiracies are being devised to cause tension in the country through polarizing politics.
He advised the intelligentsia to speak up on the current events in the country to deter the efforts to create tension.He declared it was not right for the one side of intellectuals to remain ignorant to the alarming developments.

In the closing ceremony of the diamond celebrations of India’s independence at the L.B.Stadium here, KCR, as the Chief Minister is referred to said that the dreams of the poor are not being fulfilled even 75 years after the declaration of Independence.”Downtrodden sections are being left out.There is a perception in various segments of people that the they are not getting the benefits of independence haven’t been able to reach these sections,” he said.

The Chief Minister noted that despite having all the natural and human resources however, the country hasn’t reached the level of progress that it would like to achieve.

He declared that it was the duty of our generation today to make sure that the nation is on the right track of advancement without discrimination based on the premise of caste or religion.

KCR said that the state government had organised a variety of events every day during the two weeks-long celebrations to promote pride as well as the spirit of national pride in all families.

He stated that Telangana was able to enjoy the honor of organizing a massive rendition of the national song.More than one million people took part in the program.

KCR stated that at a point that some people were demeaning his father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, the state government arranged screenings of the film “Gandhi” in cinema theatres throughout the state.In announcing that 22 lakh children watched the film and the Chief Minister stated that even if just 10 percent had been motivated by Mahatma Gandhi, they could make a huge difference in the nation.

In the glittering celebration, the Chief Minister raised the national flag , and also paid tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.He also congratulated the best performers in diverse fields such as literature, sports, culture and social service.

Ministers MPs state legislators, ministers, public representatives, officials from the government and others were present in the ceremony.

Performance by composer/singer Shankar Mahadevan, drummer Sivmani Qawwali from the Warsi brothers and dance performance by Padmaja Reddy and team entertained the audience.
