New Delhi, Aug 30 : Digital solutions and services supplier Coforge (formerly NIIT Technologies) on Tuesday announced the establishment of a center of excellence (CoE) for the Metaverse and Web3 technologies in India.The company plans to train and upgrade more than 1,000 employees to educate them in the Metaverse and Web3 requirements of its customers.
The new center in Greater Noida will promote inter-disciplinary research and will identify a variety of applications of the metaverse, and its interplay with modern digital technologies.
“We are thrilled to work with the Metaverse, Web3, and related technologies to make the most of the many possibilities for innovation that they provide in our principal areas of BFSI and hospitality and travel as well as in new verticals such as manufacturing, retail and healthcare, as well as the public sector.” added Sudhir Singh CEO and Executive Director of Coforge.
Utilizing Microsoft technology, Coforge said it aims to expand its Mixed Reality (MR) offerings.
It has signed an alliance with the industry’s top players like Virbela, Hedera and R3 for their Metaverse and Web3 services and has additional collaborations in the works.
