“A man with an individual security guard approached me in the stage and inquired me why I was slamming the Telangana Chief Minister.I told him that I had not even begun my speech, so how do you know what I’d have to say?” Sarma told mediapersons here on Saturday.

Making fun of the TRS government, Sarma said, “We believe in Atithi Deva Bhava. There could be differences in political ideologies however, in Indian tradition we do not denigrate the people we host.”

According to Sarma the incident lasted around 30 seconds before the other people were present and escorted the person away.

Sarma said that the entire incident revealed that there are security loopholes in the security system.

“Had anyone from the general public come to the stage and acted on the stage, it would be a different matter. But when a ruling-party employee is involved in the same incident, it appears strange,” he added.

In response to questions about his reaction to the incident Sarma declared, “I never have any fear in a situation like this.”

In the meantime the Union Home Ministry has sought clarification from the TRS government regarding this incident.
