Guwahati 9th September : In the wake of the destruction of madrasas in Assam, AIUDF chief and Dhubri MP Badruddin Ajmal on Friday launched an aggressive critique of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP government in the state.Ajmal said that students who graduate out of madrasas could be engineers and doctors, Ajmal said, “The state government is promoting an untrue narrative about madrasa education.
The government claimed that students who get out of madrasas are not able to pursue studies in commerce or science. This is a total lie.”
Ajmal counseled the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to improve the education system in the state, instead of closing them or tearing them down.
“If the government of Assam isn’t able to create a quality education system in Assam then it can give the schools over to me.I will enhance them and demonstrate to the BJP how to achieve this,” he said.
The AIUDF chief also claimed he had already done this in Assam.
In addition, there are plenty of colleges and schools operated by the foundation of Badruddin Ajmal in Assam.Students from these schools have scored high in the recently concluded National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET.
In Assam the state government led by BJP has been criticized for its decision shut down 2 000 schools and merge the remaining schools with other schools.
