New Delhi, Sep 4 : Prominent individuals across the both the corporate and political spectrum, under the leadership of the prime minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, and in particular Tata Sons Chairman N.Chandrasekaran offered condolences and apologies for the untimely death of the former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry on Sunday in a crash on the highway near Mumbai.PM Modi said that the death of Mistry was “a major loss to the world of industry and commerce”.

He was an entrepreneur with potential who believed in India’s economic power.His death is a major loss for the world of industry and commerce.
Our condolences go out to his loved ones and family.Let his soul rest in peace.” Modi tweeted.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi posted his condolences on Twitter in a tweet, describing Mistry as “amongst the most brilliant business minds of the nation”.
“Saddened by the news of the death of the former chairman of Tata Sons, Cyrus Mistry.He was among the most brilliant minds in business of the nation, and contributed significantly to India’s economic growth.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends as well as his admirers and admirers” he tweeted.
Tata Sons chairman N.Chandrasekaran said he was “deeply saddened” by the death of Mistry.
“I find myself deeply grieving over the sudden and tragic death of Cyrus Mistry.
He was a passionate person in life and it’s tragic that he died at an early age.My sincere condolences, prayers and thoughts for his family in these difficult times,” he said in an announcement.
NCP Sharad Pawar, the NCP’s chief, said that Mistry’s death was an “irreparable loss to the Indian industry”.
“Deeply saddened by the heartbreaking news of the sudden death of the late Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry.He was an energetic and brilliant entrepreneur.We have lost one of the brightest stars of Corporate World,” Pawar tweeted.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said Mistry as a “passionate businessman”.
“Shocking shocking news of the sudden death of Cyrus Mistry.
A passionate businessman, deeply invested in the concept of New India.We send condolences to his family and acquaintances,” Shinde tweeted.
Maharashtra Vice Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed shock at the passing of the business entrepreneur.
“Shocked and deeply grieved to learn of the death of the former chairman of Tata Sons, Cyrus Mistry in an unfortunate accident close to Palghar.
My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends,” Fadnavis tweeted.
“The announcement of Cyrus Mistry’s premature death is shocking! He was an individual with visionary eyes and was one of the true guardians of India’s story of growth.
My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends,” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted.
