Los Angeles, Sep 3 : Reggaeton star J.Balvin has had the pleasure of meeting with Pope Francis and has taken hilarious photos with Pope Francis.Catholic leader during his participation in the Vitae Summit 2022 in Vatican.
On his Instagram page, the musician artist posted photos of his funny faces with the pope who is 85 years old it is not often seen by people who are familiar with the Catholic leader, as reported by aceshowbiz.com.
A photographer who was present at the event also took pictures of the photo shoot that was impromptu, where the 37-year-old singer was seated near the pope, before he began to pull out his phone to record the amazing interaction.
Balvin who was dressed in elegant black suits and a sleek black suit, leaned over Pope Francis, who opted for his usual white papal robes.
Both of the pair smiled at the camera while the singer flashed the V sign.
After the photo shoot, which was impromptu, Balvin shook the Argentine native’s hand.
In the caption of his Instagram post, he wrote: “Few of us take selfies that are smiling or laughing.” He also wrote: Flow Latino Gang with Pope Francis.Always in high spirits, love and TOLERANCE.P.S.Then, at the end, a video to help them understand the message.”
Balvin was joined by other artists including Mexicans Eduardo Verastegui and Alexander Acha, in the Thursday, September 1 gathering, which was hosted by the Vitae Foundation, which aims to research “how the media, arts and entertainment are utilized to foster unity, hope, and the interaction between people around the world.”
After the conference, Balvin spoke to a small group of journalists who he boasted about his meeting with the Pope.He declared that he believes that he is “sure (the Pope) enjoys Reggaeton.”
He added: “If he likes soccer, he likes Reggaeton.”
“I talked to him, and we had a good connection, so I’m going to gift him an album so he can get the album,” the “Mi Gente” star said in laughter.
He continued to talk about Pope Benedict XVI, stating that he is “a completely different Pope from those before him.For me this is the coolest Pope.”
Balvin has praised the manner in which Pope Francis talks to young people as “so real.”
He added “He is cool because he presents himself as he is with this kind of position of such responsibility and privilege, he behaves as if he is the exact person who walked out of his community and that’s what everybody says.He’s authentic, he doesn’t pretend to change his personality since he’s Pope.”
