Hyderabad 27 August : In search of expanding its reach in Telugu states the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to attract celebrities to join its ranks.In the course of these initiatives, BJP national president J.P.Nadda will meet the actor Nithin and former cricketer Mithali Raj on Saturday.
Nadda is expected to meet Mithali Raj at the Novotel Hotel near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad around noon.
After landing at the airport the BJP leader will make a stop at the hotel before departing for Hanamkonda to speak at a public gathering to mark the end of the third section of Praja Sangrama Yatra of the state president of the party Bandi Sanjay.
The BJP chief will meet Nithin at the same hotel in the evening following his return from Hanamkonda.Nadda could ask the actor from Telangana to get into politics.
Nithin Kumar Reddy well-known in movie circles as Nithin is from Nizamabad district of the state of.He began his film career in 2002 with “Jayam” and was awarded the award for the best male debut-south performance for his performance.
Mithali Raj Mithali Raj, one of Indian cricket’s greatest players quit international cricket in June of this year.Born in Rajasthan, she lives in Hyderabad.
In her 23-year career as an international player, she scored 7,805 ODI runs in 232 games, with an average of just over 50.She also scored 2,364 runs in 89 T20Is and 699 runs in 12 Tests with a century, and four half-centuries.
Nadda’s visit with two famous people is just a few days before the union home minister Amit Shah’s meeting with famous actor Junior NTR at the same hotel.
Shah had called Junior NTR on August 21 after addressing a meeting of the public in Munugode Assembly constituency, which was made vacant following the resignation of Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.
The Congress leader was also a part of the BJP in the public meeting.
Although BJP leaders have claimed that politics were not discussed during Shah’s discussion with NTR It’s not a secret that the saffron-colored party is in the hunt of some charismatic candidates to win over voters and strengthen its support base in the two Telugu states, particularly in Telangana which Assembly elections are scheduled for in the coming year.
Junior NTR is the grandchild of N.T.Rama Rao well-known as NTR the famous actor, the founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the former chief minister of the unincorporated Andhra Pradesh.
Junior NTR, who has been recognized as an acclaimed pan India actor with his film ‘RRR’ is considered to be one of the most popular actors of Tollywood with huge fan following in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
He was a Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP in the 2009 elections, but stayed out of active politics.
