Helsinki 20 August : Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has said she was a victim of a drug test, which has drawn criticism after a viral video surfaced of the prime minister dancing and giggling at an event.
“Never in my life have I ever taken substances,” Marin told journalists here on Friday.

“I really would like to see people not assert these things without a solid evidence.”

The results of the drug test is expected in approximately an entire week, according to DPA news agency.

On Thursday, a video surfaced that showed Marin 36, dancing with celebrities at a private residence prior to going to two bars.

A few Finnish journalists have claimed to have heard remarks regarding the use of drugs in the clip.

When the footage was released, Marin said that she had drank alcohol, but was unaware of any substance consumed.

She stressed her right to enjoy her time free in the same manner as others her age.

“I would like to prove that it’s people with normal lives who are doing jobs similar to this,”” she said.

“I did not take any drugs or drink anything other than alcohol.I danced, sang , and danced, completely legal activities.”

The photos have divided the country in a heated debate over Marin’s appearance in public.

She was returning from her holiday and was home when the clip was recorded as per a report of the STT news agency.

“This implies that there was no replacement to be able to take over the duties of her,” the report said.

Marin hasn’t yet revealed the exact date the date and time of the party.

One of the world’s most youthful leader, Marin makes no secret of having a good time, and is often photographed at music festivals.

This week she was named”the “coolest premier in the world” by German newspaper Bild.

In 2021 Marin was apologetic for being clubbing after coming in close contact with an Covid-19 case.

In 2019, at the age of 34, Marin became the world’s youngest Prime Minister when she was selected by her own party to succeed the former leader Antti Rinne.
