Amaravati, August 16 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday said that the state was quickly moving toward industrialisation with major corporations looking at it.
In the three last years in the last three years, 98 mega-industries were created with the investment of 39,350 crores providing employment to 60,541 people.

As part of MSMEs, 31671 businesses have come up with the intention of creating jobs for more than 1,985,521 people with the investment of 8 285 crore rupees.

“In the next two years, we intend to create 56 industries with an investment of Rs.1,54,000 crore, which will provide job chances for 1.64 lakh individuals.We are still focusing on making sure that 75 percent of jobs are offered to people living in Andhra Pradesh,” he declared.

The chief minister spoke in the wake of the opening ceremony of the production plant of the ATC Tyres Private Limited’s (a Yokohama Group from Japan) in the APSEZ in Atchutapuram of Anakapalli district.

The company will earn an estimated amount of Rs 2,200 crore in the setting up of a manufacturing unit and promises to create jobs for a total of 2,000 workers.

An investment of 1 250 crore was made in the initial phase with employment of approximately 1,200 people.

The chief minister said that the company had begun production in only 15 months, and that the next stage is expected to be in operation in August 2023.

The company is in fifth position in the world ranking and is expected to move to into third place in the near future the chief minister stated, that the company’s arrival to Andhra Pradesh is a happy sign.

In less than two months Adani Data Centre is set to open at Vizag and the locals will be offered 75 percent of the work, he said.

The chief minister said Andhra Pradesh is the only state with three industrial corridors and nine shipping ports are in the pipeline, he said.

He said that for the past three years the state was at the the top of Ease of Doing Business list.

He assured industrialists that the government would offer the fullest cooperation if they do come forward.

The chief minister took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of Pidilite Industries Limited which is set to launch an entity with an investment of the sum of Rs 202 crores, creating 380 job opportunities.

Along with it the foundation stone was put in place for the unit of Megha Food Processing Private Limited that produces carbonated fruit drinks packaged drinking water, as well as various other items, with an investment of the amount of 185.25 crores, which will provide the employment of 700 people.

The foundation stones have been laid for a further six sectors with an investment of more than 640 crores.
