Chandigarh 15 August : While offering a heartfelt message to the nation and residents of Haryana for the nation’s 75th Independence Day, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Monday that today is a happy and proud day for each Indian.
“The Tricolour fluttering high on the roof of every home has painted the entire nation in the colors of patriotic pride.Haryana’s people of Haryana have exhibited the flag of “Maa Bharti by proudly hoisting the Tricolour on top of 60 lakh homes,” Khattar said while speaking to the people after raising the flag at Virbhoomi Samalkha in Panipat.

“On this day of national celebration as well with celebrating the accomplishments, Independence Day also calls for self-analysis since this day provides us with the opportunity to reflect as to what we’ve achieved in the past 75 years.

There is no doubt that India has made great strides since Independence and today , India’s strength is acknowledged on the world stage,” he said.

The Chief Minister stated that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort gave ‘Panch Pran’, which includes moving forward with more determination of developed India and erasing all evidence of servitude, be proud in the heritage, the strength of unity, and the responsibilities of citizens.

From today only Haryana will be able to absorb these “Panch Pran”.

Khattar also urged every Haryanvi to sign a pledge to complete the ‘Panchpran which was announced by the Prime Minister and ensure their vital contribution to transforming India into an eventual superpower of the world.

“While adhering to our rich tradition of culture and moral standards, we must to unite to make the nation as a whole ‘Swachh Swastha and Khushal”,” said the Chief Minister.

Each 10th soldier in the army of the nation comes born in Haryana, he said.

“We are proud to have witnessed on the 10th of May, 1857 the uprising of the nation’s first freedom struggle is born in Ambala.Our courageous soldiers played an important part in protecting the frontiers of the country, even after Independence.

Today, every 10th soldier in the Indian Army is from Haryana,” said Khattar, while highlighting the crucial role of Haryana’s state in the country’s military.

The Chief Minister said that the Haryana soldiers of Haryana are setting a new standard of bravery throughout the invasions by foreign forces of 1962 1965, 1971 and during the Kargil War.

“A Shaheedi Smarak equipped with modern technology is being constructed in Ambala Cantonment to remember the martyrs of India’s first struggle for freedom.In addition, a Shaheed Smarak in the memory of the great freedom fighter Rao Tula Ram will soon be built in Nasibpur village in Mahendragarh district.

The state government will construct another Shaheed Smarak in Rohnat, one of the villages that was martyred of Bhiwani district.Rohnat Freedom Trust has been established in the village” he said.

The Chief Minister stated that along with creating a safe and secure environment for women the state government is determined to financially and socially giving every girl the opportunity to be a successful member of Haryana.

“We have provided 50 percent of the seats for women in Panchayati Raj Institutions.

To help empower women more than 51,000 self-help organizations have been set up.The running of the 151 Vita stores in the state is allocated to women.Under the “One Block One Canteen’ program 100 canteens are operated by self-help groups.After receiving computer-related training, 22,000 women are employed as bank facilitators.”

Additionally, women are running about 892 community service centers, he said.

In every ration station to be allocated in the near future 33 percent of the of the rations will be allocated to women.

The gender ratio in the state has been improved as well, according to the Chief Minister.
