By Amita VermLucknow, December 29, : .

The dawn in 2022 will see five female politicians in Uttar Pradesh decide their political destiny.

These women are directly and indirectly playing an important role in Assembly elections for the respective parties. The outcome of the election will be crucial.

Priyanka Gandhi All eyes are on Congress General Secretary Priyanka Guru Vadra who works overtime to revie Uttar Pradeshs almost-defunct Congress.Priyanka caused a stir when she declared that 40% of the upcoming Assembly elections would be reserved for women.

Other political parties were unnerved by her attempts to make a womens vote bank, blurring the boundaries of communalism and casteism. Her slogan "Ladki Hoon," Lad Sakti Hoon has begun echoing around the political scene.

Priyanka has been making efforts to get the Congress onto the political stage. This is evident in the growing presence of girls and women at party events.

However, it is possible that the lack of an organisational foundation in the state could help the party convert the crowds to votes.Priyanka sees the Assembly election as a battle.

She will be a leading figure if she can revive Congress fortunes at the next polls. If Congress falls, it will be Priyanka’s fall and that could be another blow for the partys beleaguered great old party.

Anupriya Patel Anupriya Patel, Union Minister is another female leader who will be tested in the upcoming UP elections.Apna Dal, Anupriyas BJP ally, has a remarkable success rate in the three previous elections.

Apna Da won two seats in the 2014 and 2019 election. This gives it a 100% success rate.

The party won 9 seats out of 12 in the 2017 Assembly elections.Krishna Patel is Anupriyas mother, and she heads an independent faction of Apna Dal.She has joined the Samajwadi Party in 2022.Krishna Patel will be able to claim the political legacy of her husband Sonelal Patel if the faction she leads wins the Assembly elections.

This was something that gave Anupriya an early start in politics.Mayawati Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, another female leader, is whose future political prospects are heavily dependent on the upcoming UP Assembly elections.

Since 2012, when Mayawatis election was overthrown by the people of India, the fortunes of BSP have plummeted. She has had more enemies than friends over the last nine years, with the exception of a six-month friendship with Akhilesh Yadav.

Mayawati expelled nearly all of the senior Dalit leaders in her party. This means that her party is now devoid of any identifiable faces from the Dalit community, which was her mainstay.

Brahmins are now being wooed by the BSP, which is irritating Dalits. It remains to be seen if the BSP will recreate 2007s magic and maintain a balanced between Dalits and Brahmins.

For the first time in its history, the BSP is facing a challenger from the Bhim Army, which will make its political debut next year at the UP elections.Chandra Shekhar, chief of Bhim Army has built a large following among Dalit youths and could be detrimental for BSPs interest in the elections.

Mayawati must regain her position in state politics during these elections or she will be left behind in the future.Dimple Yadav Former Samajwadi Party member Dimple Yadav is the fourth female leader that will be a key part in UP elections.

Although shes not visible from the political scene, sources say that Dimple Yadav is tirelessly working behind the scenes for her husband Akhilesh Yadav during his largest political struggle - the 2022 Assembly elections.According to sources, Dimple quietly monitors the situation within various Assembly constituencies.

She also provides feedback to Akhilesh Yadav, who is currently busy campaigning. She is responsible for making phone calls, verifying credentials and working at the booth level.

She is not aware of all the hard work she does, but she works overtime to help Akhilesh Yadav. She is actually a leading leader of the party right now," said an anonymous party leader.

Dimple is aware that her husband will be the only star candidate in next year’s Assembly elections.Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav has health problems and might not campaign.

Azam Khan, another senior SP leader, is currently in prison, and Beni Prasad Viarma has passed away.At the moment, there are no star campaigners for the party to shoulder this burden.

If Dimple succeeds in her work strategy, Dimple could become a leader of the Samajwadi Party.Aditi Singh Aditi Singh (rebel Congress MLA, Rae Bareli) is another woman leader you should be on the lookout for during the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Aditi, a first-time MLA was able to win the 2017 elections thanks to her father Akhilesh Sings support.Akhilesh Sing, known for his mafia connections, was elected five times to the MLA Rae Bareli.

He enjoyed tremendous goodwill throughout his constituency over almost three decades.Aditi was the reason he gave up his seat in 2017.He had been diagnosed with leukemia.

In August 2019, he died.Aditi rebelled against Congress and launched attacks upon the leadership. He then joined the BJP.Although she joined the BJP informally, it will still be a test of her acceptance in the party.Akhilesh Singh has always been against the BJP.Analysts believe that Aditi’s rebellion against Congress may damage the party from Rae Bareli which is Sonia Gandhi’s Lok Sabha constituency.Rae Bareli, a former Congress leader said that she could "damage the Congress", but it remains to be seen if she can retain her seat or her political influence.
