Polling will be held tomorrow for several municipalities and municipal corporations in Telangana. The state election commission said that arrangements for the election had been completed abiding by the Covid-19 rules.
However, it is known that many leaders are criticizing the governments saying that the second wave of the corona is because of the elections held in the state as well as across the country. Some leaders have even approached the courts asking to postpone the election.
However, in the wake of this, a doctor staged an innovative protest. He has initiated his protest at the Warangal MGM Hospital.
He held a placard at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the hospital premises expressing concerns. The placards read, “The conditions are not good.
Do not participate in the polling, do not go to the polls, and die with Corona. Are elections necessary in these circumstances where the corona is booming?”
Many patients coming to the hospital are thinking about the protest being made by the doctor. There is a feeling among some people that what the doctor is saying is for the people. It remains to be seen to what extent this doctor’s protest will have an impact on tomorrow’s municipal election voting.
