The YSR Congres Party’s Samajika Sadhikara (social empowerment) Bus Yatra, along with its accompanying rallies and public meetings, showcasing the welfare programs spearheaded by Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy for SC, ST, BC, and Minority communities, has garnered widespread public support.
Over the weekend, massive rallies and public meetings resonated along the seacoast in Bapatla, Proddatur, and Bheemli, Andhra Pradesh.
In Bapatla, the streets echoed with “Jai Jai Jagan” chants as the YSRCP’s Samajika Sadhikara campaign entered its third day.Bapatla MLA Kona Raghupathi, alongside numerous YSRCP party members from BC, SC, ST, Minority, and women’s wings, extended a warm welcome to prominent party leaders.This esteemed group included housing minister Jogi Ramesh, regional coordinator V.Vijayasai Reddy, MPs Mopidevi Venkataramana and Nandigam Suresh, and MLCs Umareddy Venkateswarlu and Pothula Sunitha.
The day commenced with senior leaders paying their respects at the YSR statue in Sangulapalem.A grand bike procession, featuring over 1,500 two-wheelers, kicked off from Sangupalem, traversing various regions before concluding in Bapatla town by evening.
YSRCP leaders visited significant religious sites in Chandole, including Bagalamuki and Pedda Masjid, joining in prayers with respective religious leaders.They also inspected Nadu-Nedu development efforts at Chandole ZP High School and engaged with Class X students.
Vijayasai Reddy emphasized the significance of the English language and underscored the AP government’s initiatives to enhance proficiency among government school students.This was followed by discussions with various associations, including rice millers.
In his address to the media, Vijayasai Reddy touched on Nara Lokesh’s leadership, asserting that the Telugu Desam scion lacks the qualities needed to lead effectively.He firmly stated that the arrest of TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu is beyond doubt, given that the investigating agency proceeded only after accumulating concrete evidence in corruption cases.
The MP also responded to BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari, accusing her of prioritizing family and community interests over the welfare of the state and its people.
At a public gathering near the Ambedkar statue at Bapatla’s Clock Tower Centre, Mopidevi Venkataramana commended Jagan Mohan Reddy for championing the cause of the underprivileged through pivotal welfare initiatives.
Minister Jogi Ramesh acknowledged the robust support the yatra received from the public in Bapatla, attributing it to the dedicated efforts of BC, SC, ST, and Minority leaders on the ground.
He highlighted that 17 out of 25 Cabinet ministers hail from the SC and BC communities, exemplifying the genuine commitment to social justice within the Jagan Mohan Reddy administration.
MP Nandigam Suresh asserted that the YSRCP stands as a party dedicated to the upliftment of the downtrodden.
He characterized the TDP government as one driven by family interests rather than the welfare of the people.He maintained that Naidu’s failure to fulfill his electoral promises led to a loss of trust in the Telugu Desam.
