US judge directs Twitter to share the ‘bot’ information of Beyoncé’s dismissal by Agrawal

San Francisco, Aug 16 : A US judge has ordered Twitter to “collect, review and create documents” from Kayvon Beykpour — the former consumer general manager, who was dismissed by CEO Parag Agrawal in May -and then hand it over to the legal team of Elon Musk.
Musk’s legal team had requested the judge Kathleen St.Jude McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery that documents from 22 Twitter employees be turned to them, as they had direct access to the accounts that are spam or “bot” accounts, as reported by Insider.

The judge has ordered Twitter to release the information of Beykpour only who was a top executive at the micro-blogging platform, a report stated late on Monday.

“Beykpour is likely to have insight and documents regarding the analysis of the bot Musk is seeking,” the report added.

Twitter has already begun handing over information from 41 of the so-called “custodians” of information as part of the legal dispute (with Musk over his cancellation of the deal) which will begin on the 17th of October.

After his dismissal and his disappointment, Beykpour had stated that Agrawal requested his departure because he would like to “take the team in the opposite direction”.

Beykpour became a member of Twitter in 2018 , under the then the CEO Jack Dorsey.

Musk has claimed that Twitter hasn’t handed the entirety of the information about data Musk asked for.

Tesla CEO has said that Tesla CEO has stated that If Twitter CEO Agrawal can prove the real amount of fake accounts, the canceled deal could still be a possibility.

“If Twitter simply provides their method of sampling 100 accounts and the method by which they’re verified as genuine, the deal can continue on the its original terms.” Musk had tweeted.

“However If it turns out that the Securities and Exchange Commission filings are in fact false the filings should not be,” he added.

In the midst of the ongoing legal battle, Musk has also challenged Agrawal to hold an open discussion regarding spam and fake accounts.

According Musk Musk, he was hoodwinked by Twitter to sign an agreement for a merger worth $44 billion.
