New Delhi, Aug 26 : Twitter has announced the inclusion of podcasts to its platform, and integrate them into the context of its new Spaces Tab for audio creators.The revamped Spaces Tab, including the addition of podcasts, will be accessible to a subset of people who speak English via iOS as well as Android, Twitter said in an announcement at the end of Thursday.
“We recognize that some conversations require more than 280 characters as well as bringing people closer the content, ideas, and creators they love and trust is the foundation of Twitter regardless of where conversations are held,” said the company.
The new design introduces personalized hubs that cluster audio content by topics such as music, news, sports, and many more.

“Integrating podcasts in Spaces where audio conversations are held on Twitter is another way for us to continue to invest in audio creators,” Twitter said.
Twitter users will be able to access a more customized choice of recorded and live Spaces on subjects which are relevant to their interests according to the firm.
The hubs of the future will contain some of the most popular and interesting podcasts from all over the world.
The Twitter internal research suggests that 45 percent of users on Twitter in the US also listen to podcasts every month.
“For instance, if someone frequently engages with Vox content via Twitter they’ll likely see the Vox podcast in the Spaces hub.” stated the company.
