SS Rajamouli, the director of the Indian film ‘RRR’, and its music composer, MM Keeravani, arrived at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to a warm welcome after winning the Oscar for Best Original Song for the film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’.This was their first public appearance in India since the big win.
Jr NTR, one of the film’s stars, expressed his gratitude to the audience and the film industry, saying that the win would not have been possible without their support.He also spoke about the pride he felt seeing MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose accepting the Oscar.
Prem Rakshith, the film’s choreographer, shared his excitement and said that the best feeling after the Oscars was when MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose hugged him.
RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ is the first-ever Indian film to receive the honour of winning an Oscar.The song has also won a Golden Globe and multiple awards from Hollywood.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR is a period drama based on the lives of two Telugu revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.The roles of the two main characters were portrayed by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively.The film boasts a star-studded cast including Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani in supporting roles.
The RRR team, including SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Kaala Bhairava, SS Karthikeya, Rama Rajamouli, and their family members, received a rousing welcome at the airport with fans cheering and clapping as they arrived with the Oscar trophy.
The win is a significant achievement for Indian cinema, and the RRR team expressed their gratitude to the audience and the film industry for their support.
