Carrying placards, the activists emphasized that assigning the Kukatpally seat to Jana Sena might indirectly benefit the BRS candidate in the upcoming elections.

They articulated their concern that such a decision could significantly impact the morale of the party cadre in the constituency.

The protestors dispersed only after receiving assurances from senior leaders that their concerns would be thoroughly addressed.

Amidst the anticipation of potential protests, the police heightened security at the party office, anticipating that activists from various constituencies might assemble to voice their concerns if their ticket expectations were not met in the upcoming candidate lists.

The party has already released its first list comprising 52 candidates, with a solitary name in the second list.

Additionally, talks are underway with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan regarding a potential electoral alliance.

This development has led BJP workers from Kukatpally and a few other constituencies to be apprehensive about their ticket allocation should an alliance be formed with Jana Sena.

The BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC), headed by national president JP Nadda, is set to convene on November 1 to announce candidates for other constituencies in the state, according to Kishan Reddy.

He reiterated the party’s commitment to democratic processes and emphasized that the selection of candidates is being conducted transparently and inclusively, distinguishing it from other parties.

Out of the 119 constituencies, the party has released names for 52 in the first list and one in the second list, Reddy added.
