The TTD authorities recently disclosed the Covid-19 statistics of the temple.
Amid rising Coronavirus cases Indian government has taken a daring decision to reopen the temples in June first week.
Following the relaxation of lockdown guidelines, India’s one of the most sacred temple TTD has opened its doors for devotees from June 11.Subsequently, rapid Coronavirus has also spread to the temple authorities.
Disclosing the number of Covid-19 cases in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam till now, the EO of TTD Anil Kumar Singhal has said that 743 Covid-19 cases have recorded from the past two months.Among them, three Corona patients have reportedly died and 402 patients have been recovered till this time.
The EO also informed about the rest houses-turned-COVID centres at Vishnunivasam, Madhavam, and Srinivasam and said 338 patients are undergoing treatment at these places.
The pilgrimage which has over 60,000 pilgrims per day has now restricted to just hundreds after an ever waiting of 80 days lockdown.According to the TTD authorities, nearly 2.38 lakh devotees from each nook and corner of India have visited the temple in July.
