Hyderabad’s Commissioner of Police, CV Anand, addressed the media during a press conference, shedding light on the unfolding drug case.He expressed concern over individuals associated with Tollywood being linked to drug-related activities.
Recent drug seizures in Madapur raised significant concerns.The investigation revealed that these narcotics originated from Bangalore, highlighting the widespread distribution network operating without a formal organization.
Notably, the Nigerians involved had expired visas, further complicating the case.Additionally, Devarakonda Suresh Rao, the son of a former Member of Parliament, was among those arrested.
The police have also uncovered information suggesting that actor Navdeep may be connected to drug usage, although he is currently evading capture.Commissioner CV Anand confirmed that Navdeep, a prominent actor, is currently evading authorities and is suspected of being a customer in the drug trade.
It has been revealed that Navdeep acquired drugs through an individual named Ramchand, who is now in police custody.
Navdeep had previously faced drug-related charges in the Tollywood drug case.
In response to media reports, Navdeep refuted claims of being on the run and asserted that he is in Hyderabad, vehemently denying any involvement in the drug case.
