Intramuscular vaccine (intravenous vaccine) developed by Indian pharma giant Bharat Biotech is currently being tested.The “BBV154” intranasal Covid-19 vaccine, developed by Bharat Biotech under the supervision of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS), will be tested on the volunteers as a booster dose from Friday.
The “BBV154” intranasal vaccine will be given to those who have taken the two doses of the Covaxin and the Covishield as part of the trials.
A total of 800 volunteers registered for these nasal vaccine trials.
AIIMS representatives said the main purpose of the study was to assess the immunity and safety of the three vaccines when given the booster dose of “BBV154” in people who have been infected with Covid 19 so far in India.
